  • Living Landscapes Walk

    January 1 2017 To: December 31 2017

    This complimentary walk will explore the wonderful lush history of plants around the resort and why they were chosen for the property. The tour supplies knowledge about the plants and conveys their importance to the native animals - including the endangered Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly and the California Gnatcatcher.

    Walk is offered every Sunday from 10AM-10:45AM and meets in the main lobby.

  • Nature Walk

    This complimentary walk goes along Terranea’s native plant trails and around property with one of Terranea’s naturalists. Learn about the local flora and fauna, our sea salt conservatory, and marine life. This walk is offered daily from 10AM-10:45AM and meets in the main lobby. Open to hotel guest and locals.

  • Memories of Marineland Tour

    This complimentary walking tour paints a picture of the historic oceanarium and tells the stories that keep Marineland alive at Terranea Resort. Walk is offered every Saturday from 10AM-10:45AM and meets in the main lobby.

  • Sea Salt Workshops

    Explore Terranea by Land and Sea with an experience highlighting the resort’s farm-to-Terranea philosophy. Sea Salt Workshop attendees will enjoy an intimate workshop, salt pairing, and wine, as they learn about the resort’s sea salt harvesting process with Terranea’s award-winning chefs.

    Terranea’s Sea Salt Conservatory is used to harvest and produce Terranea’s own signature sea salt. Created using local sea water from the Pacific, the conservatory serves as a natural evaporation greenhouse resulting in high quality, mineral-rich sea salt, and ultimately enabling the resort to become sea salt-sustainable.

    The workshop will include a sea salt tasting and salt pairing along with a glass of wine by ONEHOPE Wine.
