The grandest yet, this year’s annual Celebration of Food & Wine event at Terranea Resort features multiple daytime and evening events, including a Taste at Twilight reception at cielo point to kick off festivities, Farm-to-Terranea Dinner, Breakfast at the Cove, two tasting menu lunches complete with wine pairings from California’s Central Coast, an after-party, and more.


Celebration of Food & Wine Full Weekend Package
Friday, September 22 & Saturday, September 23

For guests who wish to partake in the entire weekend, Terranea offers a Full Weekend package for $575 per person, which includes Taste at Twilight Opening Reception, Breakfast at the Cove, The Vista Experience, choice of Tour of the Central Coast Tasting Lunch or California Pinots Tasting Lunch, Farm-to-Terranea Dinner and Night Cap on the Terrace After Party.


Taste at Twilight Reception
Friday, September 22 | 6:00pm - 10:00pm

The celebration commences in the evening on Friday, with a Taste at Twilight at cielo point, during which six of Terranea’s bartenders compete to create the crowd’s favorite libation, with the top two voted choices then showcased at the after-party on Saturday evening. As attendees sip on Champagne, they will also enjoy a selection of bites masterfully prepared by Executive Chef Bernard Ibarra’s culinary team, paired with local beers and wines, at food stations within the pool cabanas. Stations showcase resort delicacies such as mar’sel’s Blackberry Saison; Foie Gras Torchon; Lightly Smoked Grass-fed Lamb Rack with caramelized honey; Scallop Crudo with a shallot and apple mignonette; Tri-Tip in a Pretzel Bun with mustard and sea salt; and more. Set around the glittering pool, majestic ocean views and live entertainment by the band Back Tracks serve as the reception’s backdrop. Early bird a la carte tickets are available for $150/pp (prices go up to $165 on September 1, 2017).

Breakfast at the Cove
Saturday, September 23 | 8:30am - 11:00am

On Saturday, guests may follow their noses down a winding beach path for Breakfast at the Cove, an alfresco picnic featuring a number of stations, including a grill serving Flap Steak Asada, Pan Chilaquiles, and a Potato Taco Skewer; a griddle station with scrambled eggs and Plancha-Fried Fried Rice; a bagel bar served out of a kayak; a fresh fruit station; and a selection of freshly baked pastries, including Mortadella, Basil and Gouda Cheese Croissants, Matcha Green Tea Streusel Tea Cakes, and Parmigiana Paprika Granola Bars. Nitro Coffee, Mimosas, and Bloody Marys round out the most important meal of the day. Seating consists of picnic tables and blankets on the beach, and guests will enjoy live entertainment from Wise. Vista Experience
Saturday, September 23 | 11:00am - 2:00pm

Following breakfast, guests are invited to join Chef Ibarra during the Vista Experience to taste some of his house made kombucha. The afternoon event includes seminars on sustainability, cheese-making and sea-salt demonstrations, a falconer presentation, and Greenbar Distillery kombucha cocktails featuring Tru Organic vodka. Brent George provides the live music. Early bird a la carte tickets are available for $85/pp (prices go up to $100 on September 1, 2017).

Tour of the Central Coast Tasting Lunch
Saturday, September 23 | 2:00pm - 3:00pm

A three-course tasting menu held on the catalina kitchen terrace prepared by Chef de Cuisine David Tarrin paired with vintages from Central Coast California. Early bird a la carte tickets are available for $65/pp (prices go up to $75 on September 1, 2017).

California Pinots Tasting Lunch
Saturday, September 23 | 2:00pm - 3:00pm

A three-course tasting menu prepared by mar’sel Chef de Cuisine Andrew Vaughan, paired with California Pinots, and served on the restaurant’s ocean view terrace. Early bird a la carte tickets are available for $85/pp (prices go up to $95 on September 1, 2017).

Farm-to-Terranea Dinner
Saturday, September 23 | 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Celebrating the resort’s Farm-to-Terranea philosophy, in the evening guests can enjoy a three-course dinner served family-style by Chef Bernard Ibarra. Relaxing at communal tables outside, guests will taste dishes including Spit Roasted Lamb with Moroccan spice; Chilled Garlic and Almond Soup Shooter; Grilled Tomato Salad with house goat cheese and freshly cut basil; Pressed Herb Potato Pie; and Stuffed Honey Brulée Figs. Live music by Northern Lights provides the evening’s soundtrack. Early bird a la carte tickets are available for $245/pp with the inclusion of the after-party (prices go up to $265 on September 1, 2017).

After Party: Night Cap on the Terrace
Saturday, September 23 | 10:00pm - 1:00am

Following dinner, the Night Cap on the Terrace after-party ends the evening on a sweet note, offering fine ports and chocolates to guests looking to indulge their taste buds late into the night. To cap the night, Terranea announces the cocktail competition winner following a tally of the guests’ votes. Admission to the After Party is included for all Farm-to-Terranea Dinner ticket holders as well as full weekend package guests.
